Analysis:

In two of his three rehab games at Triple-A Salt Lake, Freese belted a home run, which accounted for both of his hits in 10 at-bats. He also displayed surprising patience, drawing four free passes versus one strikeout, or a far cry from the 6:27 BB:K that he posted among his 84 at-bats prior to the landing on the DL. An improved batting eye would be a welcome development in his disappointing initial campaign with the Angels.
