Athletics right-hander Jesse Chavez not only made a spectacular grab Tuesday night, but more importantly he avoided what could have been a catastrophic injury.

With Mariners outfielder Michael Saunders at the plate in the fourth inning, Chavez made a catch he will likely remember for the rest of his career.
