Retired Yankees closer Mariano Rivera received another accolade from the city of New York on Monday, as River Avenue -- a street just outside Yankee Stadium -- was renamed Rivera Avenue as a gesture of gratitude to history's all-time saves leader.
Rivera spent his entire 19-year career with the Yankees, helping the franchise to five World Series championships while earning 13 All-Star appearances during his tenure in the Bronx.
