Alcides Escobar: Returns To Field Friday
Escobar went 1-for-3 against the Reds on Friday. It was his first game back since undergoing treatment for shoulder inflammation, the Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis:
Escobar was a last-minute scratch on Mar. 11 due to the shoulder problem and received a cortisone shot on the 13th. The team was taking a cautious approach with him, as they were already dealing with an injury to Omar Infante (elbow), so Escobar underwent a battery of tests, before he was allowed to return to the field. Escobar reported no problems after the game, so it looks like everything is getting back to normal.
