Wood was impressive yet again on Monday, allowing no runs on just two hits with six strikeouts over five innings.

Analysis:

With a slew of injuries to their pitching staff, Wood has definitely been one of the bright spots for the Braves in the preseason. The hard-throwing southpaw came onto the scene in Atlanta with impressive results last summer and is now slated to begin 2014 as a part of the rotation. If his 14 innings of work so far this spring, in which he has allowed no earned runs, are any indication at all, Wood could be on the cusp of a breakout campaign.
