Analysis:

The Braves haven't made anything official, but Wood seems like a good bet to begin the year as a starter given the slew of injuries to the team's rotation. Coming into camp, Wood was unsure what his role would be. He'll almost surely be under some sort of innings limit this season, so starting him in the bullpen seemed like one way the team could have managed his innings. The 23-year-old lefty has been very good so far this spring, with zero earned runs and just one walk allowed with six strikeouts over nine innings (three starts).
