The New York Yankees acquired right-hander JT Brubaker and international signing bonus money from the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named later, the team announced.

Brubaker was on the Pirates' 60-day IL recovering from Tommy John surgery he underwent last April. He's targeting a return sometime around the All-Star break, according to MLB.com's Alex Stumpf.

The 30-year-old brings starting pitching experience to the Yankees. Brubaker made 61 career starts for the Pirates, posting a 9-28 record, a 4.99 ERA, and 324 strikeouts in 315 2/3 innings across three seasons.
