Watch: Hanley annihilates Lackey pitch for 469-foot blast over Green Monster

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

One has to wonder if John Lackey wouldn't mind Hanley Ramirez being given a drug test after this blast.

The veteran Boston Red Sox slugger took the Chicago Cubs pitcher deep in the bottom of the third inning in Saturday's matchup, launching his third bomb of the year way, way over the Green Monster.

The 469-foot home run also broke a Fenway Park record, becoming the longest projected blast at the ballpark since the Statcast era began in 2015, according to Ian Browne of MLB.com.

Ramirez set the previous Fenway Park record for the longest home run in 2016.

Saturday's homer was the second-longest homer of the season behind Ryan Zimmerman and Manny Machado, who've both hit 470-foot bombs.
