Take cover, folks in New Jersey, because Manny Machado's gargantuan home run may come crashing through your window momentarily.

Okay, not actually, but that's how it seemed Friday in the Bronx, where the Baltimore Orioles star launched a 470-foot bomb off New York Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia in the top of the fifth inning that looked like it was destined to land on the other side of the George Washington Bridge. Not surprisingly, it was Machado's hardest-hit ball of the young season, coming off his bat at 114 mph, according to Statcast.

With his mammoth shot, Machado now boasts the longest home run of the 2017 campaign, taking that shared honor away from Corey Seager, Joey Gallo, and Carlos Gomez, each of whom have smacked 462-foot blasts in the last three-plus weeks.
