Nationals' Sammy Solis: Receives encouraging MRI results

Solis said Friday that the MRI on his elbow revealed nerve inflammation but did not show any ligament damage, Mark Zuckerman of MASN reports.

Analysis:

The fact there appeared to be no ligament damage has to be extremely positive news for the Nationals considering that it likely means he won't have to miss nearly as much time as they originally feared. It's unknown how long it will take for the nerve irritation to subside, but this likely means Solis should be able return in a matter of weeks.
