The 27-year-old southpaw has now put together scoreless appearances in six of his last seven trips to the mound, as he's served as a valued left-handed option out of the bullpen for manager Bob Melvin during the first month of the season. Coulombe doesn't rack up many strikeouts but does a good job of keeping the ball on the ground, and he's also capable of working multiple innings when necessary. Factoring in Thursday's outing, he's sporting a solid 3.24 ERA over his first 8.1 innings.
