Watch: Thames clobbers pair of HRs to tie Brewers record
Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports
At some point you have to ask: Is Eric Thames even human?
The Milwaukee Brewers slugger didn't take long to continue to tear into opposing pitching Monday, when he took Cincinnati Reds starter Amir Garrett deep to the second deck in right field at Miller Park in only the first inning.
In his very next at-bat in the second frame, it was more of the same, though this time Thames took Garrett to the opposite field to mash his MLB-best 10th home run of the season:
With the pair of bombs, Thames ties a Brewers record for the most home runs in April, equaling the mark set by Carlos Lee, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Thames, though, still has five games left to attempt to break the record.
