Blue Jays' Francisco Liriano: Annihilated in first start of 2017

Liriano was blasted for five runs on three hits and four walks while retiring a single batter (via strikeout), but lucked out with a no-decision in his season debut Friday against the Rays.

Analysis:

It's tough to imagine a more wretched start than what Liriano managed in this one. After dominating opposing hitters this spring, the veteran looked lost in what was the shortest outing of his career. He'll look to start anew when he toes the rubber for his next start Thursday at home against Baltimore.
