Tigers' Justin Upton: Returns to lineup Thursday

Upton (knee) is in the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.

Analysis:

He exited Tuesday's game with what was ultimately diagnosed with a knee contusion, but after being looked at by the training staff early Thursday, Upton was given the go-ahead to return to the lineup. He'll bat fifth against James Shields.
