Nationals' Adam Lind: Slow start to spring

Lind is batting .171 (7-for-41) with two doubles and three RBI over 21 spring training games.

Analysis:

Lind inked a one-year deal with the Nationals this offseason to serve as a left-handed bench bat and backup first baseman. The 33-year-old has seen his offensive numbers dip in each of his past three big league seasons, and his slow start to spring is not an encouraging sign. He'll need to pick things up during the regular season if he hopes to receive semi-regular at-bats for the Nats.
