Angels' Tyler Skaggs: Sharp in 75-pitch outing Saturday

Skaggs tossed four innings of one-run ball Saturday, surrendering four hits while striking out three in a win over Arizona.

Analysis:

The 25-year-old has looked sharp in three outings since being sidelined with shoulder soreness. While any type of injury should strike fear in the hearts of his owners, it appears that the talented lefty has sidestepped any serious damage. The Angels have yet to announce Skaggs as a part of their rotation, but the pitcher said that he feels ready to go, stating that he should get to 85-90 pitches in his next spring outing. Skaggs remains a high-upside, late-round pitcher who could outperform his price if his health and production trend in the right direction.
