Rangers' Delino DeShields Jr.: Remains in left field mix

DeShields is hitting .265/.290/.286 with nine stolen bases this spring and remains in the mix to win playing time in left field, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

DeShields has drawn 10 walks and has only struck out 12 times in 59 place appearances, so his plate discipline is encouraging. The left field situation in Texas remains murky as Ryan Rua, Jurickson Profar and DeShields have all had good springs and remain in the mix.
