Nationals' Koda Glover: Roughed up Friday

Glover allowed three runs on four hits while striking out one in 1.2 innings during Friday's split-squad game against the Cardinals.

Analysis:

The 23-year-old had only given up one run this spring prior to Friday's outing, but he still has an impressive 12:1 K:BB through 9.2 innings. Glover remains in the mix for the Nats' closer spot, and the fact that he was stretched out a bit in this one is more a reflection of the team's crowded bullpen picture and the possibility that they may not carry a long reliever at all than it is a clue as to Glover's actual role to begin the season.
