Javier Baez looks to be in fine midseason form already.

The talented 24-year-old Chicago Cubs defensive whiz showed off his impressive range at second base in Sunday's spring training game against the Cleveland Indians, robbing Chris Colabello of a single thanks to a fine backhanded play.

Baez's play, particularly in the field at second base, earned him significant praise during the Cubs' World Series run leading to an expanded role at the position. Despite appearing in less innings, Baez's 11 defensive runs saved was third best on the team in 2016.

Plays like this are a big reason why.
