Mariners' Felix Hernandez: Starting fourth spring training game

Hernandez has been named the starter for the Mariners' Cactus League road opener against the White Sox, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

King Felix, who has looked impressive thus far in throwing sessions, will thus get his first crack at opposing hitters against the White Sox. Hernandez is also on Team Venezuela's WBC roster and began his offseason throwing program earlier than usual as a result. He's scheduled for at least one more Cactus League start in addition to Tuesday before WBC play begins on Mar. 10.
