The Baltimore Orioles pulled off a minor transaction with one of their American League East counterparts Tuesday, acquiring left-hander Richard Bleier from the New York Yankees in exchange for a player to be named later.

It's the fourth move made by the Orioles front office in the past four days, as they've also traded for southpaw Vidal Nuno, and agreed to minor-league deals with outfielders Michael Bourn and Craig Gentry.

The 29-year-old Bleier gives the Orioles another lefty option to look at during spring camp for a potential role in the club's already strong bullpen.

Bleier was designated for assignment on Feb. 16 after appearing in 23 games for the Yankees during his rookie season. Across 23 innings of work, Bleier posted a 1.96 ERA and 1.04 WHIP, striking out 13 and walking four.

In a corresponding move, the Orioles designated utility player Christian Walker for assignment.
