Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Diagnosed with strained calf

Donaldson was diagnosed with a strained right calf Saturday.

Analysis:

He felt a small tweak in his calf earlier Saturday, and although the Blue Jays were never really worried, he was sent for a precautionary MRI. He dealt with a similar injury at the beginning of last year and didn't miss any time due to it, and it seems the same will be true this time around. He'll be treated and evaluated daily, but he's expected to be ready to start the season.
