Braves' Sean Rodriguez: Expected to miss entire season
Rodriguez (shoulder) will likely miss the entire 2017 season, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis:
The Braves are listing Rodriguez as "out indefinitely" after he underwent surgery Wednesday, but both O'Brien and MLB.com beat writer Mark Bowman say Rodriguez is likely done for the year. He was found to have a complete tear of his left rotator cuff after being involved in a car accident last month. Rodriguez was initially believed to have avoided any kind of serious injury in the accident, but after the Braves found out about the shoulder injury and the extent of the issue, they acted fast to acquire Brandon Phillips from Cincinnati.
