Chase Utley could very well be the next free agent to come off the market.

The free-agent second baseman has reportedly received multiple contract offers, and is expected to make a decision "relatively soon," according to Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.

The teams to have offered Utley currently remain unknown, but Los Angeles Dodgers president Andrew Friedman has gone on record to say that a reunion with the 14-year veteran is not out of the question, even with the recent acquisition of Logan Forsythe.

After a down season in 2015, Utley proved that he still has what it takes to be a relevant option at second base last season, slashing .252/.319/.396 with 43 extra-base hits over 512 at-bats.

At this point in his career, Utley has essentially reached the 'he is what he is' status. Forsythe is expected to be the everyday second baseman next season with the Dodgers, but Utley could still serve a purpose as a backup option and left-handed bat off the bench if he is to return to Chavez Ravine.
