Report: Dodgers agree to minors deal with Morrow
Brandon Morrow is getting another shot in California.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly agreed to a minor-league deal with Morrow, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.
Morrow will also receive an invite to the big-league club's spring training camp, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, where he's likely to make the team as a reliever.
Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports Morrow will make $1.25 million if he makes the major-league roster.
The 32-year-old veteran has been mired down by injuries in recent seasons. After making five starts with the San Diego Padres in 2015, Morrow's campaign was cut short in May due to season-ending surgery to his shoulder.
He didn't make his return to the majors until Aug. 13, 2016, though at that point the Padres elected to use him out of the bullpen. He fared well in a relief role, however, allowing just three earned runs in 16 innings down the final stretch of the season.
In 10 seasons in MLB, Morrow owns a 4.16 ERA.
