Report: Ex-Indians pitcher Jeff Manship signs with NC Dinos in Korea

Ken Blaze / USA TODAY Sports

Jeff Manship has said goodbye to the MLB for the time being.

The 32-year-old right-hander, who spent the last two seasons as a bullpen option for the Cleveland Indians, has signed a contract with the NC Dinos of the KBO league in South Korea, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

Manship was eligible for arbitration with the Indians heading into the 2017 season, but has instead elected to make the move overseas.

Manship enjoyed a serviceable 2016 campaign for the Indians, appearing in 53 games and authoring a 3.12 ERA with 22 walks, 36 strikeouts, and a 1.43 WHIP over 43.1 innings.

A veteran of eight big-league seasons, Manship spent time with the Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, and Philadelphia Phillies before joining the Indians for the 2015 season, appearing in 157 total games.
