Padres' Cory Spangenberg: 100 percent healthy
Spangenberg (quadriceps) is 100 percent healthy, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Spangenberg has progressed well from the torn quad that he suffered in mid-July. He has elected to forego winter ball, but will be ready for the start of spring training. The 2011 first-round pick will likely open the year as a utility bench bat for the Padres, but he's worth keeping an eye on, as he has the speed to make a fantasy impact if he's able to work his way into a regular role.
