Angels' Juan Graterol: DFA'd by Angels
Graterol was designated for assignment by the Angels on Tuesday.
Analysis:
The 27-year-old cracked the big league roster for the first time this past season and performed surprisingly well, going 4-for-14 with two doubles and three RBI in extremely limited action. Despite the success both in the majors and minors, Graterol's previous stats suggested that his achievements were simply an anomaly, leading the Angels to DFA him following the acquisition of Nolan Fontana from Houston. Graterol will likely act as organizational catching depth moving forward.
