Report: White Sox listening to offers for Frazier

With the Chicago White Sox watching their neighbors on the north side of the city celebrating a championship, general manager Rick Hahn has hinted a rebuild could be in the works.

Veteran third baseman Todd Frazier could be one of the first players to move should Hahn blow things up, as the team is reportedly listening to offers on the two-time All-Star, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Frazier was one of the White Sox's major acquisitions a year ago, and could be one of their biggest trade chips. Despite slashing .225/.302/.464, he still managed to hit a career-high 40 home runs and drive in 98 RBIs in 158 games in 2016. He's set to become a free agent at the end of the 2017 season.

"Should we go to the position of selling off assets and looking more toward the long-term future, the market will dictate how deep of a cut that is based upon the return for some of our players potentially," Hahn told Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago.

"But the market plays a huge role and part of that is being patient and making sure you have a firm understanding of the value of first, what's available elsewhere, as well as how your players are viewed by the industry."
