After an injury-marred season in which a number of their pitchers landed on the disabled list, the Los Angeles Angels continued to stockpile arms Wednesday, signing right-hander Andrew Bailey to a one-year contract.

The deal is worth $1 million, plus incentives, according to Jeff Fletcher from the Orange County Register.

The signing of the 32-year-old former rookie of the year comes one day after the Angels signed right-hander Justin Miller to a minor-league contract.

Bailey appeared in 12 games for the Angels in 2016, posting a 2.38 ERA across 11 1/3 innings after he was released by the Philadelphia Phillies in August.

Over his seven-year career, Bailey has struggled with injuries while posting a 14-14 record with 95 saves and a 3.16 ERA.

L.A. has been very active in the offseason, acquiring the two pitchers, trading for outfielder Cameron Maybin, and claiming hurlers Kirby Yates, Blake Parker, Abel De Los Santos, and Vicente Campos off waivers.

In a corresponding move, the Angels designated outfielder Shane Robinson for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for Bailey.
