Mets' Yoenis Cespedes: Receives qualifying offer from Mets

Cespedes received a qualifying offer from the Mets on Monday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Analysis:

Cespedes already opted out of the last two years of his contract with New York, so there's little to no chance that he'll accept this offer either. The 31-year-old will likely command a high price on the free agent market, although the draft pick that needs to be sacrificed in order to add him certainly doesn't add to his value.
