Miller sets postseason reliever strikeout record

Andrew Miller has written his name atop the list of the most dominant relievers in postseason history.

The Cleveland Indians left-hander picked up back-to-back strikeouts in Game 4 of the World Series to break Francisco Rodriguez's record for the most career postseason strikeouts by a reliever with 29.

Miller got Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo to strike out swinging for the second out in the eighth to tie the record. He followed with a five-pitch strikeout of Ben Zobrist to set the new mark and end the frame.

It's been a remarkable October for Miller, who the Indians acquired at the non-waiver trade deadline. He entered the eighth having thrown 16 scoreless innings to start his postseason before Dexter Fowler took him deep for a solo home run. That would be the only blemish on Miller's night, however, as he finished his outing having allowed one run on one hit over two innings while striking out a pair.
