Not even a chilly night in Cleveland could prevent Aroldis Chapman from bringing the heat.

Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon summoned his flamethrower closer for the four-out relief appearance and Chapman certainly delivered.

Making his World Series debut with one on and two outs in the bottom of the eighth, Chapman struck out Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez on five pitches - four of which registered over 100 mph.

PITCH TYPE MPH RESULT
1 Fastball 100 Ball
2 Fastball 99.4 Foul
3 Fastball 100.6 Foul
4 Fastball 101.4 Foul
5 Fastball 101.9 Swinging strike

Chapman returned for the ninth and struck out Rajai Davis on 101-mph fastball to record the first out of the inning. He'd get Coco Crisp to ground out before walking Brandon Guyer on five pitches, but would finish it off by inducing another ground out from Roberto Perez to preserve the 5-1 win and help the Cubs even the series 1-1.

Of the 23 pitches Chapman threw, 12 of them reached triple digits.
