One of the greatest outfielders in Cleveland Indians history will get the World Series festivities underway.

The Indians announced that Kenny Lofton will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Game 1 against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday at Progressive Field. Former infielder Carlos Baerga will have the honors for Game 2.

Lofton spent 10 seasons in Cleveland from 1992-2001 before returning in 2007 prior to his retirement. The speedster is the franchise leader with 452 stolen bases and claimed four Gold Gloves and five All-Star appearances as a member of the Indians. Lofton also played briefly with the Cubs for 56 games in 2003.

Baerga appeared in 941 games over eight seasons with the Indians from 1990-1996 and then again in 1999, earning four trips to the All-Star Game. The switch-hitting infielder was a teammate of Lofton's when Cleveland lost the 1995 World Series in six games to the Atlanta Braves.
