Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Continues hot streak versus Braves on Friday
Cabrera went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs, three RBI and three runs in the Tigers important 6-2 victory over the Braves on Friday.
Analysis:
This win and the Blue Jays loss moves the Tigers within 0.5 games of the final wild card spot. Manager Brad Ausmus admitted this week that Cabrera has been dealing with a knee issue, but it sure doesn't look like it in his stat line. Cabrera is 10-for-15 (.667) with 13 RBI in the last four games, and he has four homers in the last three. He is two homers shy of his first 40-home run season since 2013.
