On the same night legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully was honored for 67 years of storytelling excellence, a Colorado Rockies play-by-play announcer made an incredibly graceless call during Nolan Arenado's 40th home run of the season.

Broadcaster Jack Corrigan from KOA radio - who was filling in for Drew Goodman - awkwardly called the home run "on the sixth inning," while attempting to throw in his signature catch phrase, "touch 'em all time," using a slow and painful delivery.

Colorado's broadcasters have often been referred to as the worst in baseball, ranking 27th in the league, according to FanGraphs 2016 broadcaster ratings.

Note: A previous version of the story erroneously attributed the call to Goodman.
