Watch: Trout, Harper among stars saluting Scully

When Vin Scully talks, everybody - even the players - listen.

As the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare to toast their beloved voice with "Vin Scully Appreciation Weekend," which gets underway Friday night at Dodger Stadium, some of baseball's brightest stars took time to pay tribute to the retiring broadcaster on behalf of players everywhere.

Reigning NL MVP Bryce Harper, Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout, Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado, and Tampa Bay Rays star Evan Longoria all passed through Chavez Ravine this season, and each of them took time to record their memories and recollections of Scully.

Both Arenado and Longoria grew up listening to Scully in Southern California, while Harper would tune in from his childhood home of Las Vegas.

Arenado will likely get a chance to thank Scully personally this weekend, as his Rockies are visiting the Dodgers during what will be the 88-year-old's final home broadcasts. Scully's final three games will be next weekend in San Francisco.
