Giants' Johnny Cueto: Still possible for Sunday

Cueto (groin) has not been ruled out for Sunday's start, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Manager Bruce Bochy indicated Wednesday that Cueto would likely be pushed back if not skipped outright, but he backtracked a bit Thursday. The skipper said Cueto's groin is improving and even said the right-hander could start without a side session as a prerequisite. Cueto was diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain after leaving Tuesday's game.
