Brewers' Ryan Braun: Remains with family Wednesday

Braun is not in Wednesday's lineup as he is still with his wife and newborn son.

Analysis:

His wife gave birth to the couple's son Tuesday and he is understandably taking an extra day to be with his family as the Brewers are playing out the string. Domingo Santana is starting in left field and hitting cleanup Wednesday. It seems likely that Braun will be back in the fold Thursday against the Pirates.
