Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo: Cleared to swing bat

Choo (forearm) has been cleared to swing a bat and could progress to tee work Friday or Saturday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Analysis:

With recent X-rays unable to detect a fracture, Choo has been cleared to begin ramping up his activity. A return during the regular season still seems far-fetched, but Choo has a chance to reach his goal of playing in the postseason after breaking his forearm in mid-August.
