Red Sox's David Price: Dominant in 16th win
Price (16-8) posted eight masterful innings Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and no walks while striking out nine and earning the win against the Orioles.
Analysis:
The Red Sox provided Price with 11 runs of support Monday, not that he needed it. Price's lone blemishes were solo homers by Chris Davis and Manny Machado in the second and fourth innings, respectively. Price has been absolutely dominant of late, earning a win in each of his last seven outings, all of which were quality starts. He's struck out 17 while walking no one over his last two starts, raising his K:BB ratio to nearly 5:1 on the year. The lefty ace will look to continue his winning ways against the Yankees on Saturday.
