Giants' Jake Peavy: Activated from disabled list

The Giants activated Peavy (back) from the disabled list Wednesday.

Analysis:

Peavy will rejoin the Giants after recovering from a strained lower back. He pitched out of the bullpen in August and figures to work in the same role the rest of the way.
