The Bridgeport Bluefish have offered Tim Tebow a roster spot for the remainder of the 2016 season.
A day after his showcase in front of 28 MLB clubs, the Atlantic League squad sent out a press release, saying they would welcome the former NFL quarterback "with open arms."
“The Atlantic League is all about giving players opportunity, and we think Bridgeport would be a great place for him to begin his professional baseball career,” general manager Jamie Toole said in a statement.
The club states that upon signing a contract, he'd be immediately placed on the roster.
Tebow was also offered a contract to play for a team based out of Venezuela.
