Tigers' JaCoby Jones: Has contract purchased by Tigers

The Tigers purchased Jones's contract from Triple-A Toledo.

Analysis:

Although he was expected to stay at the Triple-A level for the rest of the season, Jones is headed to the big club. Since moving up to Toledo on June 6, Jones has hit just .243/.309/.356. However, he's shown improvement recently, having gone 11-for-38 (.289) over his last 10 games.
