Mariners' Hisashi Iwakuma: Takes 10th loss against Rangers

Iwakuma (14-10) allowed five runs on six hits and a walk with two strikeouts over just three innings in a loss Monday to the Rangers.

Analysis:

Iwakuma has given up one home run and at least three earned runs in each of his last four starts, and he hasn't struck out more than three batters in any of those outings. His ERA has jumped to 4.01 as a result of this cold streak. As things stand, Iwakuma is in line for his first season with an ERA over 4.00 since coming over to the United States in 2012. He has allowed 24 home runs in 27 starts, and his next home run allowed will tie his career high from 2013 (in 33 starts and 219.2 innings).
