Tigers' Cameron Maybin: Will undergo MRI on Tuesday
Maybin will undergo an MRI on his left thumb Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Analysis:
The outfielder left Monday's game after suffering the injury on a head-first slide. X-rays on Maybin's left hand came back negative Monday, but it appears that doctors will zone in on his thumb specifically with the MRI. If Maybin is forced to miss time with yet another left hand injury, Tyler Collins will likely be in line for unexpected starts.
