The 19-year-old Orozco, who was selected by the Mariners in the 14th round of the 2015 MLB Entry Draft, owned a 2-2 record with a 4.07 ERA across 12 appearances in rookie ball. Five of the right-hander's appearances were starts. He was listed as the Mariners' 20th-best prospect by MLB Pipeline prior to the trade.

De Paula, 18, is a right-hander out of the Dominican Republic who also spent his year at rookie ball, recording a 3.07 ERA across 11 appearances, seven of them starts. He wasn't among Seattle's top 30 prospects.
