Angels' Yunel Escobar: Cleared to resume baseball activities

Escobar (concussion) has been cleared to resume baseball activities and is expected to be activated by Friday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

Escobar should return to the field during the Angels' weekend series against Seattle. However, Kaleb Cowart is hitting .281/.303/.469 over 10 games this season and has played third base in Escobar's absence, so it isn't clear how the playing time will be split once the veteran returns.
