Twins' Trevor May: Set for bullpen session Friday

May (back) will throw a bullpen session Friday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Analysis:

May has been sidelined since the first week of August with a lower-back strain, but he's recently begun throwing again and it looks as though he's ready to progress even further. It's unclear whether he'll require a brief rehab assignment, but either way, the 26-year-old seems primed to rejoin the bullpen in early September.
