Mariners' Ariel Miranda: Gets roughed up in loss at Chicago

Miranda lasted just four innings Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks with one strikeout in a loss at the White Sox.

Analysis:

Miranda threw 90 pitches, only 47 for strikes. He had trouble commanding his fastball and was hit hard, allowing three extra-base hits, including a home run. The Mariners chose to keep Miranda in the rotation over Wade LeBlanc, who was designated for assignment Thursday, but he did nothing to show the Mariners made the right decision.
